"Hi Sherry, The reason I decided to partake in the invitation for Great Taste, No Pain is because I have a lot of combustion (rumbling, bloating and gas) going on in my stomach all the time, even when I eat healthy things. I am always hungry, so I eat until I am overstuffed. I was amazed on my 1st day, how the combustion was almost completely gone. I would say it is down 90% and when I'm full, it is a comfortable full not that over-stuffed bloated feeling. As for the recipes, I am very impressed, they are easy to make and Mmmmmm Mmmmmm Good! One of my favorites is the carrot/cilantro soup. I made it for friends and they also loved it! I am looking forward to more wonderful recipes! Thanks for all your hard work and sharing this valuable information!" Donna, Michigan

The "Blood Type" Diet

The Blood Type diet is the common name for a diet developed by a Naturopathic Doctor. "Eat Right for Your Type" is the title of the book by Dr. Peter D'Amato, that states that a chemical reaction occurs between your blood and the foods you eat. Your personal genetics, which you've inherited, is the specific cause for this reaction. The blood-food reaction is caused by factors that are known as Lectins. These lectins are abundant and diverse proteins that are found in all foods. Your blood is affected by the agglutinating (thickening) properties within the lectins. So, the theory goes, at the time you consume a food containing the protein lectins that are not compatible with your blood type antigen, the lectins locate a specific organ or body system and begin to agglutinate or thicken the blood cells in that area. Different organs within the body are affected by different lectins. This is the theory behind the blood type diet.
It is fortunate that most lectins found in food are not known to be quite so life threatening. Though this is true, the lectins can cause a variety of other problems. This occurs especially when they are specific to a particular type of blood, thus the common name, Blood Type diet. Most people are protected, for the most part, from the lectins by their own immune systems. A very large portion (about 95-97%) of these dietary lectins are actually sloughed off by the body. However, around five percent of the lectins you consume are allowed to filter through into the bloodstream and cause the different reactions in the different organs.
Your natural genetic rhythm restores your blood type over and again. The blood type diet works essentially because each type of blood is designated a clear, logical, scientifically researched plan based on the blood type cellular profile. The food groups are split into three different categories. Those categories are Highly beneficial foods (that are medicinal in nature), allowed foods (food that produce no harm to the particular blood type) and Foods that are not allowed (actually act as poisons to the body).
Blood Type O
According to Dr. D'Amato, people who have Type O blood type tend to thrive on intense physical exercise and animal protein. A slightly acidic muscle tissue is more effective for type Os. This is unlike the other blood types. Because Type Os have a high stomach acid content, they are able to efficiently digest and metabolize meat. The consumption of lean, chemical-free meats, fish and poultry are what determine the success of the type O person. Dairy products and grains are not found to be as good to Type Os as they are to other blood types.
Blood Type A
Type A blood folks are more likely to flourish on vegetarian diets. Unfortunately, type As are often predisposed to heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. Foods that are found in very "natural" states should be the preferred dietary items for the type As. These food should be fresh, pure, and organic. If a type A starts the Blood Type diet and has previously been eating quite a bit of meat, they'll find that they lose weight rather quickly at the beginning of the diet and will be naturally thinner. The reason is that the elimination of toxic foods from the diet makes the body more efficient. The claim is made that when one follows the Blood Type diet, they are able to supercharge their immune system and potentially put a stop to any development of life-threatening diseases. Sluggishness is the result when Type As eat meat. This is because Type As have low stomach-acid content which causes them to have a hard time digesting meat. Nuts and seeds supply an important protein component for the type As and they also thrive on the vegetable proteins found in beans and legumes, for the most part. However, they should avoid those that are found on the "not allowed" list as these beans can cause a decrease in insulin production, which may cause obesity and diabetes. Tofu should be a very important addition to the Type A Diet.
Blood Type B
Blood type B people are usually sturdy and alert, thus Type Bs are usually able to resist many of the most severe diseases common to modern life. Some of these diseases include heart disease and cancer. It is said that a Type B person who is able to carefully follow the recommended Blood Type diet can often bypass severe disease and live a long and healthy life. However, Type Bs seem to be more prone to immune-system type disorders. Included in this disease group are multiple sclerosis, lupus, and chronic fatigue syndrome. The Type B Diet is one of balance and wholesomeness and includes a various wide array of foods.
Corn, buckwheat, lentil, peanuts and sesame seeds are the biggest factors for weight gain in Type Bs. The efficiency of the metabolic process is affected with these foods because they have a different lectin for this blood type. The results of eating these types of foods results in fatigue, fluid retention, and hypoglycemia. The gluten lectin in wheat germ and whole wheat products also affects some metabolism-slowing problems in type Bs. Chicken meat contains a Blood Type B agglutinating lectin in its muscle tissue, therefore it is important to leave chicken off of the diet for Type Bs. These lectins attack the bloodstream and potentially lead to strokes and immune disorders. Deep ocean fish are a great advantage to Type Bs, but they should avoid all shellfish. Lectins are found in shellfish that are disruptive to the Type B system.
Type B people are the sole blood type that can actually enjoy a variety of dairy foods. Type Bs should avoid most nuts and seeds (especially peanuts, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds) because they contain lectins that interfere with Type B insulin production. Type Bs do not tolerate wheat well. Wheat contains lectins that reduce the efficiency of and fail to stimulate fat burning. Rye is definitely to be avoided because it contains a lectin that settles in the vascular system, causing blood disorders and may, thus cause strokes. Some major factors in Type B weight gain would be Corn and buckwheat. Causing the metabolism to be sluggish, contributes to insulin irregularity, fluid retention, and fatigue.
If you are Type B and love tomatoes, there's bad news. It is necessary to eliminate tomatoes completely from the Type B diet. Sorry, but tomatoes contain lectins that irritate the stomach lining. However, other fruits and vegetables are generally well tolerated and should be consumed generously.
Blood Type AB
Because type AB people have multiple antigens, they tend to have Type AB characteristics, which are sometimes A-like with weak stomach acid, and sometimes B-like, which means they are programmed genetically for the consumption of meats. A slightly alkaline muscle tissue is better for Type Abs. Generally, Type ABs have difficulty metabolizing meat efficiently. This is because they have low stomach acid which is why it is so important to monitor the portion size and frequency. Again, chicken should be avoided because it has lectin that irritates the blood and digestive tracts of Type Abs. A good protein supplement for Type Abs isTofu. Type Abs have a mixed result with nuts, seeds, beans and legumes and these foods should be in small amounts and with caution.
Dairy foods are tolerated by Type ABs fairly well. However, they should be aware of excessive mucus production. Grains are usually tolerated by Type ABs well. Rice is the preferred grain to avoid acid forming inner kernels of wheat.
One problem with Type AB people is that they have a weaker immune system then the other types so great benefit is acquired from vegetables that are high in phytocheicals. An acid-base balance is acquired when the more alkaline fruits are consumed and tomatoes do not impose any ill effects on Type ABs.
Since they are high mucous producers, Type AB people should begin each day with a glass of warm water with some freshly squeezed lemon juice (1/2 a lemon) to cleanse the system of sleep accumulated mucus.

Let's get something straight so you'll know why we're here in the first place. The sad truth is that fast weight loss techniques, that you read about and hear about all the time, are not always effective. That's right. Many of them do not provide the results that they promise. Fast weight loss is, to be fair, a relative term. "Relative to what?", you ask. Well, relative to what you consider "fast." Is your weight reduction goal one week or one month? Is it 10 pounds or 100 or more pounds?
You see, unfortunately, most people don't want to hear the truth and they'll fall for an advertisement claiming that they can lose 10 pounds a week when, in reality, that kind of weight loss can be very dangerous and unhealthy. Most people don't seem to want to know the truth about fast weight loss and they'd rather go on believing that there is a way to lose weight ridiculously fast enough that they'll be able to shed those 30 pounds in two weeks. Then, unfortunately, they are very disappointed and frustrated when the truth sets in and the highly marketed diet plan that they bought into turns out to be an exaggeration.
We Know What You're Going ThroughThat's why we, at Repair My Weight loss, are here. We want you to know the truth despite what others are trying to get you to believe. We're certainly not saying that diets don't work. We know that diets work but we also know that they're never a walk in the park. Diets take hard and often frustrating work. Most people give up on a diet just as the diet is about to show results. We know because the staff at Repair My Weight Loss has experienced most of those diets right along with you. We've suffered through the seemingly starvation type diets, the low carb diets, the low fat diets...just about every one of them. We understand what you are going through and we want to help you.
Fast weight loss diets are, for the most part, unreal. There are a few fast weight loss diets that actually work initially but after you've lost the first few pounds rather rapidly, they stall out. There's a reason for that.
Other proclaimed fast weight reduction diets don't even come close to their claims. Then there are those that are highly effective if you can stand to stay on them for any amount of time. No matter which diet you use, believe in or want to try, we've found that one thing always seems to make the initial phase of any diet work much more effectively.
Cleansing
The cleansing of the colon by certain methods seems to allow the body to move into diets a bit more easily. The initial shock of any type of diet to the body is tolerated more readily if the colon is cleansed appropriately first. Does this mean you have to experience some form of diarrhea for a week or something nasty like that? No, not at all. Some forms of colon cleansing don't have much to do with bowel movements but rather what you put into the body over a certain period of time.
We don't condone or sponsor ANY specific colon cleansing product here at RMWL, but we do promote, strongly, the use of some type of colon cleanser either with or without a diet. Why? Because your health starts in your colon and that's the orgination of most diseases. This is a private thing. No one has to know that you practice colon cleansing. Just don't tell them but, for your own sake, DO practice it. Here is a great site for learning more about colon cleansing.

The fact is that there are millions of people who are overweight and many more on the way to being overweight. You see, all the TV and visual merchandising tend to hard-wire our brains into believing this. Because the media determines who is attractive and who isn't, their influence is, unfortunately, our obsession and with this visual attraction social world, the desire to lose weight grows more and more everyday; thus, your God given natural thighs appear to you to be much more distorted than they really are.
